What type and how much ram do you need?

Ram comes in different capacities and speeds the main ones a 4GB,8GB16GB,32GB and 64GB and 1600 Mhz and 1866 Mhz but what does all this mean? Read on to find out.


Gamers


Gamers usually don't need anymore than 8GB of ram of ram even for titles like Crysis 3 usually don't need more than 1600 Mhz but it has been shown that performance is slightly increased with 1866 Mhz on games like Battlefield 4. Always get 2x8gb as it gives you better performance.


Photo/video editors


12GB of ram  would be the bare minimum for video editing if you aren't rendering more than more things at once,16GB is usually the sweet spot  32GB of ram is rarely used but 64Gb usually on used by servers.Always get 2x8gb as it give you better performance.


Browers


You could do just fine with 4GB of ram but 8GB wouldn't do you any harm as it is starting to become standard in most pre-build and custom made computers.
