Google Glass steals phone pins: your iPhone can too

Studies in the University of Massachusetts Lowell shows that Google Glass can steal your phone password with incredible accuracy to be specific 83 percent accuracy from 3 metres away, even if your screen isn't visible to google glass.

Glass isn't the only device able to do this, an iPhone 5 and Logitech webcam can do this with even more accuracy although more obvious. The webcam got 92 percent accuracy while the iPhone got 100 percent.

All of this may sound frightening but hackers will never be able to get into your phone without them physically having access to it. Just make sure that your pin number is different to your phone password.

As people get more and more paranoid, newer, safer and more innovative ways to lock your phone emerge such as Touch ID and Facial Recognition and as this evolves hackers will find newer ways to overcome these problems; just remember convenience doesn't equal safety.
